What is an overnight diaper?
Overnight diapers are extra absorbent diapers and can help your child through the (hopefully) long and restful nights of sleep without the discomforts of a full diaper.
It’ll keep them drier and more comfortable and decrease the risk of diaper rashes and premature awakening.
Some parents decide instead to use a size up for the night, and for some children, that may suffice. It all depends on their schedules and urination through the night.
If you want to ensure that your child stays dry through the night, you should consider an overnight diaper. All the big (and small) brands offer them, and there are many to choose from. The chances are that your favorite brand offers one, but consider trying other brands too since they may vary from the daytime diapers.
You should also consider fragrance-free or hypo-allergenic overnight diapers, as well as the many sustainably produced diapers that have been hitting the market (often, there’s an overlap between hypo-allergenic and sustainable production methods and content.)
Brands that offer overnight diapers with both features include the Honest Company, Seventh Generation, and more. And most of the larger brands now also have competing products, such as Pampers Pure and Huggies Special Delivery, but not as overnight diapers yet.
